With 21 people in camp, the dining room is rather busy. It is almost like when the deep ice core drilling was in full swing. The 109th team is progressing well, and we are expecting another plane tomorrow with final spare parts. In preparation of taking the garages down, we are labeling all parts, so they may be assembled in the same way again at GRIP. The second plastic sled is now outfitted with load plates, and we begin to load it up. We are also making plans on how to load up, and what to bring on the first traverse and what to bring on the second.
The traverse gave an In-Reach position during the day.
What EGRIP today:
1. Helping the 109th team.
2. Labeling grarages before taking them down.
3. Outfitting plastic sled no.2 with pallets for cargo.
4. Cleaning up ramp and enlarging the entrance to get equipment to the surface.
5. Grooming skiway and taxiway.
Weather today: Sunny, Temp. -22 to -12 C, 4 – 8 kt from NW turning SW, visibility unrestricted.
What traverse today:
1. Traverse made it to about 150 km from EGRIP.
