Although our garages, our cargo line and storage in our snow ramp appear to be relatively empty, cargo is accumulating in the staging areas around our sled trains. We have to sort out what has to go on the first traverse, and what can go on the second. It’s a bit of a puzzle. The wind has been gentle today, and this helps, as we have much exposed cargo on the surface right now. It is also good weather to take down the garages. We’ll see when the final pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Right now, it looks like we are departing on Friday.
What we did today:
1. Carpenter’s garage now empty, and ready to be taken down.
2. Mechanic’s garage almost empty.
3. Organizing cargo on traverse sleds.
4. All skiway markers are removed.
Weather today: Overcast all day. Temp. -7 to -3 C, 6 kt from mainly S, visibility unrestricted.
