Weather is what it is; but the contrast between a stunning Friday and a lousy Saturday is great. We have so may tasks to do, so we had to carry on under bad weather conditions Saturday. Things are going foreward; but we are not only unpacking and storing equipment, we are also making camp ready for next year with all infrastructure ready to go. We have reached several milestones: All overwintering structures are completed. Garages and dome and generator are now connected by underground cables. Skiway is set up. And we are building a cargo line. Slowly but surely camp is looking more and more tidy. Today, Florian was busy with the Pistenbully and he leveled most of the camp area. We plan to be flown out of GRIP on Thursday.

What we have done over the weekend:

1. White storage garage finished.
2. Cables between garages and to main dome and generator now laid. Garages now have power.
3. 35 kW backup generator in place in garage and cabled to main dome.
4. Unloading of plastic sleds almost complete.
5. First cargo line under construction.
6. Underground connections to dome and main generator established.
7. Removed main snow melter and set it in cargoline.
8. Leveled snow around GRIP borehole casing for drilling tent next year.
9. Negotiated pull-out flight on Thursday.
10. Trimmed windward side of garage berms.
11. Plywood wall around base of main dome half completed.

Weather: Saturday: Terrible. Windy, overcast, snowfall all day. Low contrast and poor visibility. Temp. -20 C to -7 C. 8-12 kt from SSW. Sunday: Thin overcast, with some contrast; but very warm and weak wind. Some were working out side in T-shirt. Temp. -6 C (minimum) to -0.5 C. 6 kt to calm. Winds mainly from SW to SSE.
