The weather forecast for today showed high winds, so we were prepared to stay indoor and wait all day. Instead, the wind dropped and we could finish the last tasks of grooming the skiway, park the last vehicles and do final documentation. Then we called Kanger to hear if the Basler could pick us up Friday instead of Saturday, and that is now the plan. We had a nice evening with German Slagers and leftovers, and will be ready to leave tomorrow if conditions allow.
What we did this Thursday:
- Groomed skiway
- Stored food and equipment in the cellar of dome
- Parked PB and Skidoos in carpenters’ garage
- Prepared a few boxes of retro load
Weather: High wind speed morning and evening, but 9kt during the day. Wind 9-20 kt from SW. Temp -8C to -12C.
